Inside the template

Overview & setup

Folio is a modern Library Management System template built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Designed for library websites and administration tools, it combines a polished public catalog with dedicated admin and member workspaces.

The interface features navy navigation, warm neutral surfaces, teal accents, illustrated book covers, and responsive layouts. Light and dark themes give users a comfortable experience across different viewing preferences.

Administrators can explore dashboard metrics, manage book information, search members, issue books, record returns, review reservations, and export borrowing reports. Members can discover books, check availability, place reservations, view their borrowing history, renew eligible loans, and update their profile.

The included demo connects borrowing activity with inventory and dashboard records through browser storage. A separate service layer provides connection points for a future backend, with configurable API settings and documented endpoint contracts.

Public book pages include prerendered content, individual metadata, social sharing tags, and Book structured data. Semantic markup, labeled forms, keyboard focus indicators, skip navigation, and accessible feedback are incorporated throughout the interface.

Folio is suitable as a starting point for public, school, university, community, or private library applications.
